A SOLDIER'S BURDEN

ARITZIA HOLIDAY

My Painted fashion story for the clothing line Aritzia came out today! Yay! There is one error in the interview, they said my images are Bromoil, when in fact the color images are not. Bromoil is a technique I have used and love to use with black and white, but not for color.  :)  But other than that...yaaaaaay! So happy.

YOU CAN FIND ME IN THE MOUNTAINS

Hey everybody!

It's hard to believe that Christmas is almost upon us!  I am sooooo excited...Christmas is my favorite time of the year!!  So, the other day I took two models (Chebo from Nous Models and Brandi from Whitehouse Models) out to the Angeles forest, and these are some of the painted images from that day.  I still have more images to paint on, but this is a start.  I'm shooting some more cute costumes tomorrow in the same location, so I am really excited to see what I come home with.  I'll paint tomorrow's images over the holidays.

SARAH CAUGHT IN A RAINBOW

Hey everyone,
I've finally gotten more prints made, so I can paint as much as I want to now!  I pulled out some older prints and began seeing what would happen...

I made this one of my buddy Sarah Sophie Flicker and then the one below is of my other friend, artist Alia Penner.  The photo of Alia Penner is from almost a year ago, I had never thought to paint this shot, but it called out to me and this is what I ended up with.  ;)

CHASING SUNSETS

I took a trip out to my friend Kime Buzzelli's desert home this last weekend, along with London's dreamiest redhead Loulou Androlia and Friend & model Chante Ashley Moore.  We had a total blast and I'm already planning more girly trips out there, because being creative with my buddies is so much fun!

Lucky for me, both Kime and Loulou are really talented at styling, so I didn't have to do a thing related to clothing...and Loulou took the reigns with makeup too!  Also the AMAZING flower headcrown, that was made by Loulou, she makes custom flower headcrowns!  Chante Ashley Moore is always so easy to photograph, it's a complete delight.  We had literally less than hour to shoot, because by the time we got to Joshua Tree National Park, the sun was quickly going down (we got a bit of a late start, shall we say).  But, we got some photos and that's all that matters, oh and we had fun, and that matters most!  I'm going to begin painting the images tomorrow, yaaaaay.

Thanks again ladies (Kime, Loulou & Chante Ashley) for hanging out and styling and modeling.
